The Covered Bridges of Southwestern NH, Saturday Oct. 13th, Meet at 9:00.

The Bridges Tour has some nice scenic backroads and would start in the town of Hancock, NH at the Fiddleheads Cafe which serves up some freshly brewed coffee and homemade muffins. From there we would ride south and west eventually ending up in Alstead, NH where we would pick up the twistiest road in NH, Rt 123A and ride it out to RT 10 where will seek out more covered bridges. We will ride through or see 13 in total.

Should we be there earlier if we want to eat at the cafe?

Yes, but also note the following from Alan, your fearless leader:

"The second Covered Bridges Ride is scheduled for 10/13/07. The ride will begin from Manchester, NH; Rt. 93, exit 9 on the Danial Webster Hwy/Rt. 3/28; exit 93 toward Manchester. We will meet in the parking lot of the Burger King. The ride leaves at 9:00.

Only the starting point has changed, the ride will go through Hancock and past Fiddlehead's."

Is this different from this ride?

Also, got a PM about a possible meet in Manchester then ride down to Hancock.

Not to be confused with another ride by the same name happening the next day.

You can meet in Manchester where the leader is starting or meet in Hancock.

Hey guys, the leader of this ride has had to cancel. Looks like his bike has serious engine trouble, you can read more here if you like: http://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?showtopic=26889&hl=. I am sure we will be hearing more soon, right now I think he is working on his bike trying to figure out serious the damage is.

Edit: I heard from Alan who was leading this ride, the ride is officially canceled.

You guys who were going on Alans ride can now join us on Sunday as we will be riding the same route. It's a Seacoast ride being co-led by Dave from Seacoast Sports Ducati and myself from the FJR forum.
Dave is leading a group from Seacoast in Derry, NH over to Hancock, NH where I will take over and lead the route down into southwestern NH throught 7 covered bridges and into Walpole for lunch and then down to Greenfield to the Trebuchet. You can meet in Derry or meet me in Hancock at 9:00.
