Has anyone installed the "beatle bags" from Corbin, or any other hard luggage system for that matter. I would love to hear some opinions, options, and see some pix!

I had Givi E21's mounted on SW-Motech racks. They came with the bike when I got it used. They were ugly, but functional. In fact I think they are still in the garage gathering dust

I dont own a busa, but I have seen both kinds of bags installed. The Corbins look great. But all those curves that make them look so good mean there isnt much space inside.
The Givis on the other hand dont look so good but they hold a ton.
Your choice. Form or function.

I have 2 buddies who have/had Corbins. They both hate them. The locks don't work and the fiberglass cracks easily. IMHO Givi is the best way to go. The SWMotech racks are sweet. I have the ugly Givi plumbing stuff but I'm sorta ok with the looks. I'm more of a function-over-form kind of guy....well except for the Blackbird part.

:bigok:Thank's for all the replies to the "hayabusa hard luggage", topic everyone!
Those are some sweet pix "Rythm", that is the same color as my bike. That soft luggage set up is pretty nice, by the way, what brand is that windscreen, I like it. The rev's performance rack is exactly what I was lookin for last year. I ended up going with an SW Motech rack and Krauser K4 top case. I was kinda hoping to find somthing cool & functional for the side cases, as I am currently running soft sidebags by "GEAR" as well as there touring type tank bag. Hard lockable system is preferred. the "Givi's" and "Krauser" type cases are a little bulky for the sides, and I was hoping that someone made a product that was durable, stylish and functional, ahhh, dare to dream.
Thanks again Everone!

Add to the melee - a vote for RKA Soft luggage - these are the expandable saddlebags
Few mods later with the Bagster tank bra/tankbag

I have givi E41 Keyless on my ZZR1200. They are carried by SWMotech racks. Great system and can hold a ton of stuff. I used to have the bettlebags and could not stand them. The locks (both sides) had to be fiddled with everytime I used them to make sure they would line up correctly and stay locked/closed. The opening was small and I could not even fit a standard 3 inch three ring binder into the bag without destroying the binder!
The Keyless are wonderful however they don't "flow" with the bike that well. No problem for me since I am function over form and need/want lockable water tight storage. Besides with the SWMotech rack system I can take the bags and racks off in about 20 seconds and transform the bike back into the beauty it is under all the touring stuff I have on it!!

You can and I have modified my tankbag making it possible to secure my tankbag to my bike. The materials can be purchased from Joanne fabric's which included a two piece brass eyeloop kit and a leather hole punch tool. Along with a wire cable cut to length, plastic tubing to cover the wire and a wire loop kit to connect both ends of the wire cable all purchased from Lowes. Use the leather hole punch to punch a hole into you bag, then place the two piece brass eyeloop kit covering the inside outside of the hole and with a hammer and the supplied tool in the eyeloop kit hammer the two halves together permanetly. Know you should have a brass groment hole compared to a tarp
. Next, go to Lowes and have a sales rep cut you whatever size cable you want from a roll of there cable they have for custom orders. Also ask for a loop kit to join both ends of the cable you purchased and voila you have a wire to secure you tank bag or saddlebags to your bike.
The cable can also be used to lock your helmet and if it long enough it can be loop through you jacket sleeve secured to the bike.
Protected custom cable lock wire I made from material purchased from Lowes.
Heres my tankbag with the brass eyeloops I installed using materials purchased from my local fabric shop.

Rythmn, what kind of windscreen setup do you have on that gorgeous scooter? My riding buddy LD rides a Hayabusa (multiple 1k's) and I'm sure he would like that set-up for touring.
Thanks!
