Actually as an ex-Connie owner, it requires duct tape rather than straps

Cool!  A Basic "Normal" bike.  Don't see that many around these day's.
BTW - I like the box.  My wife uses a wooden box of similar size for grocery shopping on her KLR.  The butcher always shakes his head when she stops for a flat of eggs on her bike!
(in the summer of course.  currently we've got several inches of @#$% snow!)
