Retro Honda CB750

Word from the Spanish magazine Solomoto, is that Honda is set to release a retro CB750, based on the original model released in 1968/69, sometime in 2008 (40th anniversary).

No word on whether it will come to the states.

Over a year ago I sent this image of a Nighthawk-based cafe racer to Honda in Torrance. It's about time they did something about it. However... haven't seen the check yet.

There's a company in the SF Bay area that produces the original '69 CB750 using new/old parts. I think Honda should go the Ducati route and build a cafe racer.

They sell a lot of the retro style bikes in Europe and Asia, they probably need the various CC's to meet tax laws that vary widely by country.  I've got a gray market CB1300 that handles and perfomrs way better than I remeber the CB-s of the 70's and 80's performing.
