I am finally tired of the stock windshield, 4k miles. Can never find the right position. I get turbulence everywhere. I'm 6ft, seat in middle position. I think I have it narrowed down to either an Aeroflow or Technik(sp). Any thoughts - recommendations? Or....does someone have a used Aeroflow or Technik(sp) windshield that I can try before buying. Maybe just laying around now? I can't afford a $200 mistake. Naturally, will pay shipping if from out of state. I can come to you, anywhere in the Seattle/Tacoma/Bellingham area. Please pm me with specifics.

Check out Cal Sci windscreens.  I believe you can try it out and if you install it with seran wrap and it's not sratched, they will accept a return.  You'd only be out $30 or so for shipping.

The R1150RT screen is at the bottom of the page.  I love mine on my R1200RT.  I've tried simply taller windscreens on other bikes and wasn't impressed, too much buffeting and turbulence.  The Cal Sci elimiates that buffeting and you can get the extra height you want too.

I have an Aeroflow and love it - and I'm sorry, you can't have it to try.   Lol  (I live halfway across the nation from you)

It's not simply longer, but also has a subtle curvature at the top edge - a 'flip' that mimics the rear spoiler on a NASCAR.  It does a nice job of keeping the airflow smooth and over your head versus tumbling down on top of it.

And notice I didn't say 'taller'?  The nicest thing about having a longer windshield on a R11050RT is the fact you can leave it in a lower position and still be effective.  That lower position is much less upright too - so your profile isn't like trying to force a brick through the air at 70+ mph.  With the stock shield, I had ti have it almost vertical to 'fit' me - and it  basically just stalled the air and let it come crashing down ontop of my helmet
