My 512Mb MP3 player works great for day trips, but it's not good enough for the multiple day trips I want to take.

I like the idea of an ipod with an air click, but I'm not sure it can be used to  change playlists.

What features do you guys look for and use?

The unit you are looking for is called the ABt IJet two way. It has an LCD display and will show and allow for scrolling through artist and playlists.

I think my new Nano has this feature, if I understand what you mean.

Personally I wish it had an FM radio.  I guess there's an add-on for it though.

Get an XM or Sirius Radio. Its great and lots of channels to choose from. Most of my rides exceed the capacity of mp3 until the last few years so satellite radio is the way to go/

I use an iPod and AirClick. I don't worry about play lists. I just put the whole catalog on shuffle and twist the throttle. Since it's my iPod, there's nothing on there I don't like. And if there's a song I don't want to hear, I just Click Next and get on with it.  Thumbsup

Anyone care to show what this Airclick system looks like?  I went to the website but it doesn't show the whole system, just what you plug into the iPod.  What's the other end (the end that connects to your headphones) look like (I assume you guys are talking about the remote control module).  How are you using it on the bike?

On the link I've provided, scroll down to the bottom of the page. On the lower left is a pic of the remote. The remote has a clip on it that allows it to be attached to a holder. That holder comes with a velcro strap.

This is how mine was set up- I removed the velcro strap, and used a zip-tie to hold it to a small bracket attached to one of my ram-mount arms.

Ok, I get that, but I still don't understand what you're doing with it.  The music comes from the iPod into the Airclick, then via RF to the  remote, which has the headphones plugged into it?

No, the headphone (or a/v cable) still plug into the iPod like normal. The AirClick just replaces some of hte click-wheel functionality via a wireless remote.

I see what you're getting at here. I have a comm system on the bike with a headset and speakers in my helmet. The airclick is just for controlling the Ipod. The audio output of the Ipod is plugged into the appropriate input of my com system. All is hardwired except for the remote.

Ahh.  Gotcha now.

I have a different need...I would like an FM receiver on my Nano...is there a GOOD version (there are lots of complaints about Apple's version)?
