Looking for a boot I can use on my cruiser that is comfortable walking and maybe even hiking but still good protection.  It needs to be something that doesn't look too radical so I can wear it at work. Any Ideas? I'm actually wearing a pair of Sketcher's all black boots but they are only fair as far as protection goes. And I don't like the strings hanging out.

Just picked up a pair of these:

$59 bucks. Comfortable enough to teach a BRC in (about six miles of parking lot walking) with no break in first. Good ankle protection by plastic cups, just like good touring boots.

I don't know about a weekend of hiking, but they'd be fine for a few hours. The sole is lugged as well.

I've seen those on New Enough before but not recognising the name I didn't pay much attention.. Thanks for the review.  sounds good, not planning any long hikes. Going back to Canaan Valley next summer and want to be able to ride into the different parks and hike around some.

Sidi Strada's? Not good for hiking, OK for short distance walking off the bike, definetly no laces.

I ride in a pair of magnum M1 steel toe boots. I have to have a steel toe boot at work and they have goos ankle support as well.

Not really hiking boots, but kind of moderate looking, pretty comfortable for walking, and have some ankle protection.  Not cheap though.

I wear these Cortech Solutions.  Comfortable, warm enough, waterproof, and fairly light weight.  Cheap too.  http://www.newenough.com/boots/waterproof_sport_street_touring_boots/tour_master/solution_wp_road_motorcycle_boots.html

+1, but I wouldn't wear them for hiking.

That's what I got on my feet right now, wear them every day to work under my jeans.  I've got the old version of that boot, and like 'em after a local cobbler fixed the crappy velcro buckles.
