So.. Is there anybody going to the show in DC? It is from Jan 12-14.

http://motorcycleshows.com/motorcycleshows/static/staticHtml.jsp?id=359156

It looks like I have duty (Coast Guard) on Saturday so, I'll be going on Sunday. Myself and a group from our boat will be going. Now the debate is whether or not we decide to ride there. All depends on wx and temps.

I'll be there at some point.  Taking the Metro in makes the most sense.

Last year I went on Sunday and there was plenty of parking. Parked about 2 blocks away.

I might take this year's off. I was disappointed in last years.

I was as well, the previous year had a LOT more to see, and more "cool" vendors (how many doo-rag dealers does the event NEED?!?! EEK! Headscratch

I was contemplating not going this year, however, i always go on Sunday afternoon when everybody is ready to pull out.  I might try friday night this time.  And I'll probablly plug the gerbings in and ride down since bike parking is free.  I was also planning on not going because I have everything on my bike, nothing more to see right?  WRONG!!!! New Concours is coming out and I MUST SIT ON IT.  If that feels comfortable, deposit goes down in Jan.

I hate to say it, but this may well be the most boring motorcycle show in the nation.

You think DC is the any different than NY?  I used to go to the Philly version when they did that, I thought it was pretty good.  The Javitz version is insanely crowded IMHO.

Last years was pretty good. I want to check out the new Kawasaki 1400GTR, Suzuki B-King and Ducati 1098. There's free parking for bikes in DC? Last year, I heard there wasn't, so I drove.

B-rent and I are headed down early tomorrow (Sat) morning. We'll probably try to be there close to opening time (9:30). If you get there early, parking is no problem—the pay lots right next to the convention center don't fill up 'til later. (And the show is a lot nicer early in the AM before it gets mobbed.)

Went to the show last night(friday). And it was good IMHO. I enjoy it so I can check out all the new models and some gear. I am considering something new, but .......too many choices. And not enough money........LOL I dont think at least for now that the new Connie is at all in the running, its at the bottom of the list. I want more bling for my money now. I am considering more upper end.I was walking back and forth between the ZX 14 and the new Connie and wondering what could go on the ZX from the Connie,IE handlebars,  bags, etc I like the look of the ZX14 better. But then I also like the BMW K12 GT and the BMW R12RT. I like the seating of the R, but like the looks of the K.HMMMMMMMMM what to do? choices, choices.

I went on Saturday and had a great time - first show I've been to in a decade.  Disappointed that Triumph was a no-show as well.

Loved the Guzzi California Vintage, the new 25th Anniversary Interceptor, the K1200GT, the Ducati Hypermotard.  Liked that the Bandit was back.  Disappointed in the new BMW 800's - looks did nothing for me.
