Dunno if you've heard this, but SpeedFerries, the Champions of the low-cost cross channel fair are re-introducing bike passages to their lines. There's an introductory £15 return offer on at the mo we just couldn't ignore.

The downside is only four bikes per crossing are allowed. This is down to new way the bikes will be tied down during the crossing – passage was earlier suspended as they were experiencing alot of downed bikes and claims.

Anyway, me and some other chap from another forum [Pan rider] have decided to drop across the Channel for some pre-Christmas Fayre and a quick jaunt down to the Normandy beaches etc.... somewhere around the middle of next month, probably leaving 8ish on a Wednesday. Two nights stop-over.

Two spots available if you'd like to join us.  Cool

You evil tempter... £15 return is a bargain. Have you had any thoughts about where you're staying? (just thinking of costs etc)
I may have to see if I can escape from work for a few days!  Crazy

I'm paired up at the mo with an old gent on a Pan... he's suggested some gites as opposed to hotels which always work out cheaper. I don't think it will add up to very much... I recon one could do it all, including crossing, gas & stops for 100 quid, I'd budget on 200 just to be sure.

It'd be nice to ride out, Ant..... get your fcuking act together!  Wink

LOL   Bigok

You tell 'im !
if it wisnae fur wan ur twa wee issues ah micht have thocht aboot a wee jaunt masel

That ferry is certainly cheap, but by choosing the right travel times the tunnel is only £38 return so if you are ever stuck and need an option I find there are always good prices to be had for bikes on the tunnel.

Enjoy the trip anyway ...... withoot mi
