Anyone up for coffee in Utica on Sunday AM?  I was thinking around 9:30 at Common Grounds.  I need to verify I can go for sure, but I thought I'd throw it out there if anyone was intersted.

Is this still on?  Don't have any plans for tomorrow and it looks like the weather will be good.  9:30am works OK for me.

I don't think I'm going to make it. Doc say's I should stay off my feet for another day or two. I'm still recovering from and infection that had me in the hospital week before last.

This morning I rode along the river from Channahan through the Starved Rock area and then to Utica.  The fall colors in some spots including Starved Rock were amazing.  It was cool this morning at 8 am.

It was such a great ride I may do it again tomorrow morning.

I'll be making the same run in the AM with the vest and grips on 'well done'.  Probably my last run through that area this year. Sad

So, I made it to one STN evoulution this year, likely on my last ride of '07.  Guess I get to stay in the club.

I brought my daughter, Maddie (12), all bundled up and tucked in behind me, to Common Grounds after a monster breakfast together in Lacon, IL.  She just started riding with me this year, mostly little in-town rides.  She's a great little pillion, at barely 90 lbs. and short enough that when I don't shift smoothly, her helmet simply touches my back, vice clicking my helmet.  Today was our longest ride, yet; she was a great little sport, enjoyed her mocha, and felt very mature hanging out with us old farts.

Good seeing Fudge and meeting ducsbill and mxvet57.  Sorry to have missed Jetpilot5 this season.

See y'all on the boards this winter and, I hope, on the road next year!

Yes, was good to meet and chat with a few folks from the list.  I had a nice zigzag ride south and east back to home and managed to avoid all the super slab stuff.  Still not quite ready to put the bike up for the year, but I'll probably use alternate transportation this week.

I've lived in the area most of my life.  I ride thru Utica a lot and never noticed that business before.  On my Rte.71 ride yesterday I went thru town and noticed where it was located.
