Tubeless tire with a tube in it? Safe or not/
«

I have a friend, First time rider that bought a Honda shadow 750 Tha back tire is bald so he ordered tire and tube online. Tire says tubeless on the sidewall. He has done some research waiting for the company he bought it from to call him, and everyone says its fine. Not sure myself so I thinght i would post here for general consensus. If they wont make it right without charging him an arm and a leg would it hurt to run it.

If the tire is tubeless why not run it without the tube?

Probably cause the rims are spoked.
Yes, you can run tubes in tubeless tires. It seems to me there was a thread on this recently, but the search isn't workin for me.

I'm pretty sure I've heard you can seal spoked wheels to run them without the tube.

Or you can run Pirelli Sport Demons. I love 'em on my Goose and I know the House of Honda guys (locals who ride beautifully maintained early gen VFs and VFRs) are loving them on their bikes. YMMV.

The tire will be fine with the tube. It is probably even stamped "on tube-type wheel use tube" in small print on the sidewall.

That applies to this thread how? Yip i asked what tires everyone is running pirelli tires and how they liked them. Who cares what tires your running. Maybe you should read the thread before you post next time. I am asking about tubes in tubless tires.
So the general consensus is that its O.k. Thats cool. i feel better knowing that the people here (that have something intelligent to reply with) think its fine to go ahead. Thansk folks. Keep the rubber side down

Go fuck yourself asshole. I offered the Pirellis as an alternative to using a tubeless tire on a tubed rim. Take one of your gunz and shove it up your ass fuckwit.

Ahhh, the personal grudge. Get a grip Gunz. You're in a moderated forum now. You have to learn to turn it off and on depending on where you are. And, well, personal grudges are unseemly anyway.

So the guy that posted the first profanity towards me is excused somehow?
I only give what I get. If he wouldnt have told me to GFM, i wouldnt have replied so harshly. Civility breeds civility.
And sure with the BBS. Endanger my life and it might not be BBs.

You confuse obnoxious with obscene. You started it. As to your second point, maybe you ought to rethink it. Cause its dumb.

Fuck you shit heel. I offered an alternative if your friend wanted to a tire that was actually designed for his rim. You're talking to me about civility after jumping on me? Fuck you.

If your talkng about me posting about his pirellies. Well it was a stupid post in a thread about tubless tires. Good god , if people want to post how much they like their tires. make theri own dang thread, Not just posting random garbage that doesnt pertain to anything in that thread.

And I guess you missed the part where I was providing an alternative to using tubeless tires on tubed rims. It wasn't random garbage. Why are second amendment nuts almost always pricks? Anyhow, enjoy your bbs.

What the hell does the second ammendment have anything to do with you wanting to brag up your pirellis in a thread that isnt asking anything about tire brands?
Yip, your right, i asked what tire should i replace them with.Again i say
Pay attention. In the future I will type slow so you can keep up
Anyhow Back on topic . Thansk for the advice, I called my friend and told him the good news that the tubless tire would work with his tube and spoke wheels. I think he is working on mounting them now. Thanks all.
