Great idea Daniel - you are first I've seen to do "towns" like that.

I actually spent some of my youth growing up in one of them!

Very cool.  In all the times I've been to Oz, I've only been outside either Melbourne or Sydney twice.  Must tack on an extra week to the next trip and try to rent a bike.

Cool.  Pretty much like small town America.

Except the cars are all driving on the wrong side of the road.   Bigok

Cool.  Pretty much like small town America.

with one twist: you'll notice that every building is occupied, and that these are all vibrant* little towns.

*well, the town of Wombat was pretty quiet, but the pub was open for business.

You have been spending too much time in Kansas looking for old gold rush towns.   Lol

Have you ever imagined how a place would look, and then when you actually see it, it is exactly how you thought it would be?
Those towns look perfectly Australian to me.

And actually, really not much like US small towns at all.

I agree that they look much like small towns in the US. It was funny seeing the McD's sign in the one picture and a VB sign in the next.

I used to live in Alice (many, many) years ago and those towns look nothing like it.  Lol

Thanks for posting these.
