orginal post was from 11 nov. I have had a few responses of limited help, could use some more informed advice. Thanks to the guy who did               respond, The sight was interesting though not helpful.
My '01 r1200c BMW, is leaking break fluid from the reservoir, I have checked and replaced the gasket, there wasn't anything wrong with it but I proceeded anyway. Upon further inspection I have concluded that the reservoir is becoming pressurized when applying the foot brake, ie. front and rear breaks being actuated simulatneously. I don't experience this leakage when only using the front brake. Clearly, I'm trying to avoid the three hour trip to a dealer. I suspect a check valve, or seal failure allowing the reservior to become pressurized. This is really just an educated guess, I am hoping that someone has seen this problem before. Any help would be more than welcome.

I don't know much about BMW bikes, but your front and rear brakes use the same reservior?

I am unsure, there is a small reservior under the right side cover. I'm not much of a motorcycle mech. but I do know hyd. systems, everything comes together at the abs pump and then again at a manifold on the front forks. While the front and rear brakes are not isolated from each other it seems to me that there must be some type of backfloww preventer.

Ahhhh yes.  I would have to imagine with ABS that there would be a link from front to back.  I've never had a 2 wheeler with ABS though.
