I'm not a bath tub kind of guy......but I'm sure if i had an extra $12k laying around....

ah for that price why not buy a new bike...or your wife a new set of boobs! I'm sure they would do more for you life than a clear bath tub!

OK I found this on moderndanish.com
Where my wife and I ordered our vessel sinks
http://store.moderndanish.com/Items/Item.aspx?sck=20148705&itemid=594526
And I had the same concern about water spots and what not, especially on the faucet. But they must cote these things in Teflon or something because water just doesn't stick! And that's after me windexing the crap out of it to remove my finger prints!
(FYI, the guy who invented vessel sinks must have been real mans man! From drilling the holes to washing my hands....40min!)
But as for this bathtub....$12K! and that's the cheap one!
For those looking for the MOTO GP model!

Price: $21,499.00
Now $13,499.95

Oh yeah that's so the new in thing!
It will cost you an arm and a leg but it's the in thing!
There are guys out there who will do this for you and set up a little sunken  Japaneese rock garden right in your living room floor!
Iit's funky because you can walk on it and what not but then you can allway open it up and do your rock gardening.... Headscratch
Also in another post I indicated that I was thinking of using slate tiles in the shower, which is also another big trendy thing.
All about bringing the outside in.
The ony problem I can see thus far with this glass bath tub is what do you do if you know....a fat chic is in ther! I mean do you really want to see that!

For $12k I could think of a lot of better things to do.

HOT TUB!

And way more importantly, make a shower out of glass blocks, fiber optic lighting, and put a seat in there.  Bigsmile

Oh that's so 80's and so not Feng Shway......unless you have a killer sound system in there and some glow sticks and maybe a fog machine! Then it would be a rave!
Nah if I had that kind of cash for home improvement, I would do the one thing that would make my wife really feel at home. I would buy and install a real Finnish sauna for her.

Or a sling chair  Bigsmile

BTW I could make one of those bathtubs (without the curved bottom) for about $750. I'll be taking orders for the $10K tub (your saving money) starting soon.

What I want to do is instead of buying a house and spending tons of money trying to make it modern, preserve the vintage feel.

Plus I was born in 83 so it's new to me.  Twofinger

Vintage shmintage!
I grew up in a vintage house in a vintage town.
Thanks but no thanks....
But you haven't lived till you tried a Finnish Sauna!
They are great!
But this $12k bath tub...I don't know! I'm not into baths but I guess if it had water jets it would be cool, but then it wouldn't be really transparent would it?

You can install that sauna, and then I'll visit and try it.  Bigok

Don't things LOOK BIGGER when you look at them through a glass with water?  If so, well then I guess this thing is great for some people... but not me!
