Topic: Why is the K1200R Sport MSRP more expensive than the K1200S?  (Read 1286 times)

Just guessing that they originally wanted to position it between the naked R and the S price wise but then lowered base MSRP on the S $1400 without adjusting the price on the R or R-Sport.

Well, according to the web site comparison page, it's because the R Sport has a "Frame Mounted Half Fairing" and the K1200S doesn't.   Lol

Seriously, I don't know.  I didn't think it was that way earlier this year when I was looking at them.  I kept hitting my right shin on the engine case on the R Sport anyway.l

I took a test ride of the S earlier this year. It's an impressive bike.

I haven't been on the R or the R Sport yet. Maybe tomorrow at the Max open house....

I was in Orlando BMW a couple of weeks ago and they had about a dozen of 2007's for $12,800 and change. Still thinking about it but they were all boring grey Headscratch
