heres what I've come up with this morning. Lets see what y'all think.

option 1
Meet at Cross Plains for coffee and ride for lunch at Fritzs on the Lake.  I have no idea if either are open, but I'll have my thermos so it really don't matter. Should be a good paved road ride.

option 2
We could meet at  http://www.tricountytrails.com/index.iml  at 10am and ride to Cross Plains for coffee after.

Projected low of 23 and high temp of 34 for Friday.  Not looking good for me, not to mention the fact that the route may consist of fewer than usual paved roads.

Joel, are you trying to bully us into getting DP bikes 'er what?  That OTHER online forum may be influencing you more than you realize (insert razz emoticon here).

Come on, after a few hours of riding in the mud, and the trails will be muddy, you'll show up at Mary's place looking like Larry, Darrell and Darrell. Ben's too stylish for that.  Lol

Northern Kettles are now safe fore all ya'alls riding pleasure.

With the exception of a couple of nice bucks. One that Matt did not shoot because the path of the bullet would have been straight down the road with a nice farm house for a backstop. And another that stopped at the edge of the road before crossing (I think to wait for a motorcyclist to drive by).

I would hate to restrict others who have heated gear from having a SW WI adventure, but my two cents is to keep more local than that, for selfish reasons of course!  I don't think my hands could go more than 30-45 min. without a break in 25-30 degree temps. YMMV.

Let's scrap the Cross Plains plan and do the northern Kettles.  The weather may not allow any of it.  I think if we want to ride the Cross Plains area again we should do that on Sunday.  Right now it looks to be the best weather day.

What say ya'll.

Let's scrap the Cross Plains plan and do the northern Kettles.  The weather may not allow any of it.  I think if we want to ride the Cross Plains area again we should do that on Sunday.  Right now it looks to be the best weather day.

What say ya'll.

Ok so it's the PDQ  in Five Corners 10:00AM

Are we still talking about Friday with Saturday as a back-up?

I'm home, and a couple of hours after 'the ride' it's still only 28 and sunny. And I have to admit it was fun just hanging, telling stories and watching our coffee freeze.  Cool

Lol Yeah, I saw that.  Too bad I'm not dedicated enough to ride that far in the dark and cold. Wink  Besides, I'll be out over the North Atlantic heading for Europe while you guys have your coffee.

Spring will be here before you know it.

Have fun.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.  It wouldn't be in one of the company airplanes, though I do get in to Waukesha once in a while, but a guy I work with has a Cessna 195 and is usually looking for a place to go just to burn some gas.

If I can work it out, I'll be sure to let you know.  Beerchug
