I am using the free browser Firefox. They have a plug in called Stumble!. You put in preferences and hit the button and it "stumbles" on sites likely not readily found googling. Check it out. It appears not to be totally random but it does get you to places normally buried behind the sponsored links of popular search engines.

I used it for a while, but found it would repeat some sites, in other words you didn't get an original random hit every time. I took it off, and hadn't really missed it.

Where do you think most of the pics in the random pic thread come from?

Exactly - kind of a cross between Tivo thumbs and a crack button for the internet. Saile mentioned it a couple of times here and I installed it, and recently I got my co-workers hooked. It beats going to the same half a dozen or so forums and various sites each day for me.

Ah yes, StumbleUpon, the last refuge of the web addict. You know it's time to sleep when you're bored with it. In fact, installing it may be the first indication that it's time to unplug and go do something in the real world.

It does repeat itself at times. I put reggae/music as an interest and a few sites stream music. I just open a new tab and listen to the audio.
