Last weekend we made a run along the Mississippi river. Taking rte 3 south from I-255, to Valemeyer rd, to Bluff road. Nice curvey country roads with little traffic. I shot several pictures but I like these best:

hard to believe that is Illinois. next year I'll be making a trip down to southern ill. along the river for a couple of days.

The River Road isn't all that twisty in S. IL, but the bluffs are very scenic.  I especially recommend the area north of Alton.
