The mist this morning didn't deter me, not with a projected high of 57 today. Tomorrow's looking even better.

Road today, plan on riding tomorrow. Wednesday doesn't look all that good, but we'll see.

I rode too! It was misty/rainy but it was still better than taking the cage.

I'm not in Region 4... or am I... but I did ride today... but not to work. First day of vacation, sixth day of this nasty funk that is going around... so I rode to the doctor's office with a one-hundred and one fever! It's supposed to be 75 again tomorrow... but the snow gets here Wednesday night.
Oh well... I just felt like posting... I'm not sure if anything I said made any sense. I took some NyQuil and I'm feeling a little lightheaded and I think I'm going to...

I rode this morning while at work. Used the little KLX250 as one-way transportation while moving machinery from one place to another. It was misty and cold, but way better than walking those four miles.
Haven't had time to ride the FJR in a while. Busy weeks and busy weekends. Poor thing. I wonder if the battery has a charge.

Rode today as well. They are calling for snow tomorrow, so that could put a damper on riding for a few days, until the 8 Trillion tons of salt they are going to use on the roads clears up a little.

As I posted in the mileage tracking thread, I'm done for the year. *sigh* Torn rotator cuff and I nearly dropped the bike today trying to get it out of the garage. It's 55, cloudy and I'm off today. S**T! I'm 250 miles shy of 20k goal for the year. Doc is gonna call back shortly for my bad news.

I don't know. All I know is I can't even lift my coffee cup with the left arm. I'm waiting on the Doc's office to call back and ask me to show up. I'm hoping 6-8 weeks, but it will depend on the MRI results. Physical therapy hurts in such a good way.
I'm so damn tempted to just get on the bike and ride it anyways. Common sense will hopefully prevail.

Well, the car's brakes failed over the weekend, so it looks like riding is mandatory for the time being.

so are you all done with the harvest and doing the winter tilling?
Despite my back giving out in the last weeks of the harvest, I did get that done. The back is much better now. Tillage and Fall fertillizer work continues. I'm down to my last field that needs fertillizer applied, but my supplier keeps running out, so that work has been three weeks of headaches. Once I get the last of the fertillizer applied, then it will be back to tillage until it gets finished or the weather pervents further field work.
Most of the time my riding season ends when the Harvest starts. By the time I get enough free time to ride, it is often well into December. Once in a while I'll take a cold ride to get my fix, but ice and snow will keep me off the bike.
It's a trade off. I miss the fun activities of the Fall, but I get extra free time in the Summer.

i had the brakes go out on the truck around 4 years ago. had to do a panic stop and when i hit the brakes i heard a pop and the petal went to the floor. i did get it stoped. further investigation i found the rear break line bursted. i did still have front breaks but not very good. i was only 2 miles from home and by the time i got there. i had pumped the master cylinder dry.
