I hope this all works out! I will do anytime except June 3rd and 4th. Just remember, even though some will come from across the Rockies, it always has the potential ( and likely) to get toasty in Arkansas in June! Bring some vented gear just in case. Smile

I voted last week in June. Hopefully I can accrue some vacation time wherever I'm at.

Can we add a pre-memorial date? Or is that out of the discussion, not that I've made a case for it Headscratch

S T N N A T I O N A L

wha?

Huh?

Oooooohh!

That's right this is a motorcyle forum.  I almost forgot.

I've got clients in Bentonville and Fayetteville so maybe I can finagle a work day or two and make the meet.

ChromeKid and I can get buffeted to death on our multis heading out there.

June 24th to celebrate just turning 35 for me.

I voted for the latest date possible just to allow for some fundage accumulation since I'll be paying for a wedding, honeymoon and house renovations earlier in the year (a financial hat trick).  I'm going to try to be there (with my new bride) regardless of the dates, though.

Couple of things

1. Is there any kind of runoff of the 2 or 3 most popular dates once the voting comes to a close?

2. If May is not a real option for anyone who has to cross the Rockies, shouldn't it be removed?

Nobody pointed out the rules to me before suggestions for dates were put forth.

1. There is no "run off" - the winner... wins.

2. People asked for May, so May was included. If enough people vote for May then May wins. If enough people west of the Rockies want to go, then May will not win.

I wasn't thinking about the Rockies either.  Just being my normal "How does this affect me" self.  That's a darn good point and I'd hope we could choose the dates to allow the greatest and most wide-spread participation.  Thanks for that info.

Cheers,

Joe

Everyone should note that you are allowed to change your vote. Right now 10/11 and 24/25 are in the lead. So if you voted for an option that is not likely to win, you can move your vote to decide which of the contenders you prefer.

Sorry if this isn't the place to discuss it...but...

Doesn't it make more sense to have the meet *before* most kids are out of school? I could be wrong, but it seems like the potential tourist traffic could skyrocket after the kids are out for the summer. (And I say this as a parent of a high schooler!)

My kid is out on June 3rd, and I'm guessing most schools are out sometime in early June...

Well, judging by last time, we didn't see much traffic at all once we were outside of ES

I put my vote in for the 10/11.  The 24/25 is not a great time.  School is out and campers are clogging the highways!

In reality with the voting going the way it is ,we should have left it june 17/18 to split the difference and follow tradition ,if this winds up a tie thats my suggestion

Campers, kids, vacationers etc.. will only be a problem in E.S. on a few main highways and close to the lakes. Out in the twisties, during the week we will have it mostly to ourselves, maybe a few Harleys turtling around out there.
Just stay away from Memorial Day and 4th of July!

Harleys turtling

bad mental picture, given the colloquial meaning of the word "turtling."

I don't know, kinda works for me. I feel the same way whenever I see a cruiser pack in front of me on nice roads.
