Emoticons Not Working

Sorry, but I had no idea where to post this question.  

I see people using their emoticons / smilies, but when I click on them, nothing happens.  

Any idea?

Same thing with me.  I insert an emoticon and get a, there is supposed to be a graphic, square.    If i put in the symbols, semicolan, close paren, I get the emoticon.

I'll try is the old fashion way...

typing in ";" + ")" works for me too.  But, I'm not able to simply click on the Smilies to my right as I type this and make them magically appear.

I clicked those in. You might want to try disabling the WYSIWYG posting option in your User CP.

Thanks for the feedback Capt., but even w/ not using the WYSIWYG editor, I still can't click on the smilies and make them work.

But, I can type ": shrug :" and get...
