H7 Hi performance bulbs
«

I have been using PIAA extreme white bulbs in my BMW RT (3rd bulb in a couple of years) but they don't last very long due to the high heat that comes with the brighter light.
Just wondering if it is worth the price of $50+ dollars when they ony last about 10 months.
Anyone got any suguestions on a longer lasting bulb?

I bought some Phillips bulbs from England that were bright whites. They worked much better and lasted me 2 years until I sold the bike. The only problem is you have to import them to the States.

I took my expensive Osram to the auto parts store and looked at all the bulbs until I found one that looked just like it for 500% less $$$.
I put it in right next to the Osram still on the bike. They look identical in brightness and color.
I'll be buying my bulbs that way from now on.

I wish I would have been sharp enough to pay attention. I was in a hurry to get on the road, late, for the AMA races at Road America. By the time I got home, the package was gone with the trash. I'm thinking I should be able to do it again...I hope.
