just thought I would share with everyone an early birthday card from one of my Aunts.  One of her hobbies is putting her own cards together.

Kind of cool especially since she is one who worries and would rather I would not ride.

Kind of a cross between a cruiser, a sportbike, and one of those VW trikes Bigsmile

Good on her though. It's the thought that counts.  Bigok

I thought that someone had shown her a picture of that bike that Dan Gurney is working on.

But anyway its the thoughts that really count, God bless her and you.

Be safe.

This is a really cool card comming from a non-rider who obviously cares a great deal about you.  She put a lot of thought into this card, and that means a lot more than making the picture look like a "correct" motorcycle.  The protective gear is in place, the wind protection, exhaust and wheels.  Very nice.   Thumbsup

How thoughtful of your aunt to create that for you.

When I first got into riding, my great-aunt was the first family member to meet my motorcycle, even before my brother. She loved it, and regretted that she was too old to go for a ride with me. (She was in her 80s and frail at that point.) She also mentioned that she had been on the back of a motorcycle decades before, which was quite a surprise to me.  She enjoyed it whenever I went to visit her at her house (a lovely several hour ride through the mountains). After she entered a nursing home, she bragged to her neighbors in her nursing home when I would ride to visit her there (that trip was about 1,000 miles each way).

My mother didn't react the same way.  Lol

I am fortunate to come from a riding family. My Mom's Dad was a moto-cop back in the 40's, my Dad has been riding since he was 12. My brother, sister and I all learned to ride on a CL100 when we were around 10. My Mom quit riding her own bike after breaking a collar bone trail riding (in her 40's) but still rides with Dad. My uncle took me on my first overnight trip (To Sturgis when I was a senior in high school). And my girls started riding at 5 on a PW50. Riding is in our blood apparently??
