Man that sux...  that bike is sexy.

That new HP will just be something else for Catterson to write about that I can't afford.

I have a hard time believing that they will drop the R12S.  It's an icon.  The HP is not anywhere close to the all-arounder the R12S is.

The only reason bikes are dropped from the line up is if they didn't sell.  Maybe they misjudged their market and realised that peeps looking for cutting edge sport bike performance are not going to be shopping a boxer twin? (no matter how good it is).
The HP is going to be a halo bike, that only needs to exist, not sell in large numbers to make it worth it.  It's purpose maybe is just to bring attention to the rest of the line up and bring peeps in the door?

I think the HP2 is the replacement right?  Isn't it basically the same bike?

I just hope I don't have to read about them crashing an HP like the other exotics they get to play with Crazy

That is a shame about the R12S though...

The HP2 is different. First of all, it is a true DOHC engine. Its frame is different. Many other details are different--including the price tag.

Has anyone confirmed the R12S rumor?

The R1200S is no longer being imported into the U.S. though it is available overseas as an '08 model.  Similar to what happened with the R1200ST.  The HP2 Sport is not a replacement though it is based off the R1200S.  Special order only.
