According to BadWeb.

Two truck loads of 1125Rs have left East Troy, and more will be following routinely.

I'd really like to see one at a dealer.  I might just have to drop in a local HD dealer and ask about the 1125.

Stopped by my local HD/Buell dealer today to ask about the 1125R.  They are expecting to get 4 of them, with the first arriving in the next week or so.  I don't know if that first one is sold, but the dealer had a list of people he was going to call so they could come in and see it in person.  He added me to the list.

We had a nice chat about Buell, HD, the Ulysses, and the 1125R.  He got a chance to ride the 1125R up at Road America earlier this year and raved about it.  He doesn't have a sportbike background, but claims he just has to get one of those someday -- it was so much fun.  He seems thrilled with the 1125R not just as a bike he personally likes, but as one that he will be selling and the dealership will be handling.

He wanted to order one as a demo bike, but management axed that idea.  The fear being some kid will come in, ride it, and wad it up.  It isn't an unreasonable fear, but I figure the 1125R isn't going to have a lot of appeal to the young and reckless crowd.  Maybe by next Summer, the dealership will get a better feel for who is interested in the bike and go ahead and get one as a demo.

Hopped on one of their two Ulysses (they have a yellow and a blue.)  Nope.  I haven't grown and the bike hasn't shrunk.  It is still too tall for me.  They had a Lightning of some flavor there too -- those bike are so tiny looking.  What an elemental machine, with nothing to them that doesn't have to be there.

I came away from my time there impressed with the enthusiasm the dealership seems to have for Buell.  This is a night and day difference from the first time I stopped in there a few years ago.  Granted, I only talked to one sales guy, but he knew the bikes and seemed genuinely interested in talking about them, without a hint of Harley attitude.  Moreover they actually had four or five Buells on the floor.  Sure they had a lot more Harleys, but that they stocked any Buells at all is a huge improvement.

I just got a call from the local Harley/Buell dealer, Walters Bros in Peoria IL.  They just got two 1125r crates off the truck this morning.  The guy said that they'd both be on the floor this afternoon.

I get the impression that at least one of them is not reserved for anyone, perhaps both.  I think I'm going to head over there and take a peak.  I've been wanted to see one in person.

No, I'm not buying.   Lol  I just want to look.
