Raised in 'skatchwan.  In '91 moved to Calgary, Alberta and became one of those hated as much as someone from Toronto.  It takes a while to get out of town before anything twisty happens... maybe 45 minutes.  Have done the 10 province thing (loved Newfoundland!) and claim the Kootney roads in the summer are the best in Canada.

22 years in Saskatchewan, 6 in SW Ontario, 3 in California, and 28 in Edmonton.

And no, we don't really hate Calgarians.  We were disgusted by your politicians who endlessly whined about getting less than Edmonton while Klein was giving you far more than us.  (Eg. universities:  Ours was much bigger and generally more eminent, so naturally we should get more support.  But no, everything we asked for had to be matched in the south or nothing would happen.  In other areas where Calgary was ahead, of course it was natural for Calgary to get more.  No one in Calgary seemed to notice the injustice.  If you Calgarians want to understand it, think of it as our provincial National Energy Policy with Klein as Trudeau.)  Now that the premier is not from Calgary, maybe things will even out.

I have lived all of my 70 years in Nova Scotia; home of the world famous Cabot Trail, a population of only 900 thousand and hundreds of kilometres of twisty coastal roads with light traffic.
It's motorcycle heaven - except in the winter time Lol

So who is whining now??????  Getty was a former Edmonton Eskimo and that went pretty well....... Bigsmile  I don't care where the premier is from, as long as he has a nose for business and looks after the entire province.  I find you university comment laughable though.  Actually I think it is great that Ed is from up north as it will give the inferiority complex a rest that seems to have developed.  One prosperous province undivided.  Now let's get on with it......

Let's see...  Born and raised in the Sault Ste Marie, went to school in Macon, GA, than back to the Soo for a year.  Then moved to Calgary for a good chunk of the 90's.  Left there for a better job offer in Windsor (yeah, I know... Dumbass move, though I did meet my wife there so not all bad) then briefly to Kitchener and back to Windsor.  The move back made me really realize how much Windsor sucked so we decided to head north to North Bay.  Stayed there for a few years until last summer when we realized it still wasn't what we were looking for so we packed up and moved to Fernie.  In amongst all that I've been to almost every state and province except the territories/Alaska, Oregon, and the Maritimes/far northeastern US - got a bit of a travel bug.  Regrettably haven't been off-continent yet but we'd really like to tour Europe by bike eventually and also hit Australia/New Zealand.

Oh yeah. Saskatoon born and bred. Left for three years in my 20s to live in England and Germany, but came back home. I know. I'm an idiot. The roads suck here. It just makes my trips to the mountains all that more fun.

Hmmm...I was born in the foothills of the Rockies, not far from Jasper, Alberta; my parents brought me to BC as a toddler, and I've in various parts of this province ever since (well, did a short stint in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, but then right back to BC!)  I've been to every province except Newfoundland and the Yukon (I have been to both the NWT and Nunavut--worth going!).

My father...went to the same school as Yvonne DeCarlo  Bigsmile I think she was a few years older.

Hmmm...I went to the same high school as Bryan Adams, he was a few years ahead; my older sister was in his class, until he dropped out of high school in Grade 10, of course! Wink  Possibly not as worthy of mention as Yvonne DeCarlo...

I was born in Toronto (St.Mike's) and lived in the Beach for a while, before moving to Niagara Falls. Been here since. I have the distinct advantage of NOT living in TO long enough for any real long term effects...
