Hiya BMW owners. This may be old news for you, but it was new news to me. I thought it may be for you as well.

My girlfriend's a 2002 BMW 328 owner so she gets the BMW magazine. I read it every month too. It's great with a bowl of cereal and a warm toasted bagel in the morning.  Bigok

Ok, in the most current BMW magazine it says that the R1200GS has become the best selling BMW bike of all time. It attributes this success to being a bike which is not only equally as capable off-road as on-road, but also because Motorcycle magazine's given it the best Dual-Sport motorcycle award 3 years running.

Good job BMW!  Beerchug

OMG!  I read the same thing in the same magazine this morning - over a bowl of cereal and some warm toast.

Watches are status symbols.  That's all.

Ever since we had to carry pagers (and now cell-phones) for work, I've been able to avoid wearing a watch.  My wedding ring is the only jewelry I can tolerate.

I've got an '04 GS and buddy has an '04 GS Adventure.  Anyway, at the largest Beemer rally in Orygun, the Chief Joseph Days rally in John Day, it's normally GS's and RT's as the most popular rides.  He and his wife ('04 RS) rode to the BMW rally in Asheville, NC and he noticed not as many GS's there as at our rallies out west.

The nice thing about the R1200GS is the bike is significantly lighter than my R1150GS.

But, yep, a fellow Beemer riding buddy of mine had said the GS 1150/1200 has been the company's best-seller.

I believe the 100,000th GS rolled off the line last year, numbers include the original airhead GS and all since. Just not my cup of saki....

I wasn't able to find a more exclusive link than this for the BMW magazine. I think it puts you in the right area though.  Thumbsup
