Hello everyone, I'm new here, but been on two wheels since I was four. I booked my room, now I'm looking forward to meeting you folks and doing some riding.

I'm new to the forum but this sounds like a good time. WV is a 530m 9 hour 20 min ride away according to google. I'm really thinking about going, and I'd likely be going to up if I do. Maybe I should make this a 2 day ride... hmm. Or maybe I should just get a better seat.

Took me 9 hrs with a trailer to Petersburg.

I'm pushing to do it. I'm not sure if I'm ready for a 9 hr ride yet. My longest ride has probably only been 5 hours with a decent stop in the middle.

If anyone is wanting some company to ride down to Marlinton give me a shout I am located around Weston, WV  (I-79 and Route 33)  I can meet you anywhere in that area.

Its a horribly boring and dangerous ride along those highways.

Personally, i would never ride a bike on any highways around NYC or Jha'sey.

Should I be optimistic and book a room not knowing if I'll even be able to ride by then, or if I'll have another bike by then?

I'm not sure of the cancellation policy.  But even if it requires a 1 week notice, you should know a lot more by then.  Book it, you know you want to.  Plus, it gives you a rehab goal.   Bigok

Room reserved for 26th-27th. I will be riding up from N.W. Florida if anyone wants to join. I just returned from the STN ride to Eureka Springs. I really enjoyed the STN group(first event) and the roads were the best. Have heard great things about WVA. Can't wait.

By some bizarre twist of fate this event does not coincide with my anniversary or my wife's birthday or anything else for that matter. I think I might actually make this one. I just booked a room for the 26th and 27th.

Hi Phil,

I'm still planning on being at your house Wednesday night.  I'm thinking about taking in as much PA back road as I can on the way out.  Then ride Thursday with you guys in OH.  Friday morning leave and head to Marlinton.  I am still toying with the idea of catching a couple more states on the way to WV (MI, IN, & KY) to add to my states ridden map.  It a big loop and a long day but a good opportunity to check off a couple more states.
