Once Doug and I dial in the routes I can put them in DeLorme Topo 6.0 and export them as GPX files.
Sweet because I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Seriously, I do have them available as *.est files for Microsoft Streets and Trips. But, I really want Garry to review them and make any needed changes. Also, a friend of ours, RideWV aka James, grew up riding in south eastern part of the State and I'll bet he can make some worthy suggestions too.

Intresting on the first one doug, its virtually the same one I have planned
The only difference for me is a possible food gas stop in Lynchburg, also if anyone is intrested the D-Day memorial is in Bedford right near Lynchburg,if you are into history its worth a sidetrip there

That's funny Maddjack. You need to remind where the stretch of road is you told me about earlier that I should try near Lynchburg (I believe).
I'll most likely do day rides on Friday and Saturday and the SE loop will be one of my trips w/ the SW being the other. I can pretty much ride the other loops from my home fairly easily and I will hit Rt. 15 either comming to Marlinton on Thursday or when heading home on Sunday.
Though I have not been on most of the roads located in the SW loop, I suspect the SE loop will be considered
the bomb!
Consider the following...
SE loop contains a kick ass section of Rt. 311 stretching from WV into VA. Then, you can have a few relaxing miles on the BRP (perhaps doing a quick loop over to the Lynchburg area and back to expend the trip). Then you get to do the MAD section of Rt. 39 from Lexington, VA over to Rimel, WV. This is followed by a relaxing section of 39 though a beautiful farm filled valley back to Marlinton where you can enjoy some of the festivities at the Roadkill Cookoff!

You read my mind which is why I routed that way,and you will not be disapponted in rt 501 its fun.

FYI...
As I was eating breakfast this morning and flipping through my 60 channels of HDTV on DirecTV (sorry, quick plug... please tell them Doug sent you if you sign up so I can get a free month of DirecTV
), I caught a documentary on the Smithsonian HD Channel about the Annual Roadkill Cookoff in Marlinton. Can you believe it!? I recorded it and if I can get it converted to my PC, I'll post up the video.
The event looks like a lot of fun and it was started as a tongue and cheek event making fun of the law passed by the State of WV a few years back making it legal to pick up and eat fresh road kill. You have to love how we West Virginian's can laugh at ourselves.
The event has turned into quite the show with people coming from all around to compete in this culinary festival.
Along with the typical local roadkill game (such as opossum, groundhog, squirrel, and deer), there are dishes made out of wild game from all over the world. I saw recipes made with moose, elephant, snake, frogs, and others.
The bottom line is, this isn't just a bunch of hillbillies getting together to make some disgusting food. It appears to be quite the culinary event. It should add to our fun at ESTN 2008 and not take away from it.

Give me some good duck, pheasant, goose or pretty much any other bird, and I'm game! (no pun intended)

There are some GREAT roads in SE Ohio.
The best part is that they are only about 1 to 1.5 hours from where I live.....

+1. They're 1. 5 hours from me too, but in the other direction (west). And I have to suffer through 250 in West Virginia to get there

You could run 13 down to 37 head east to Malta and 78 which would hook you up in Woodsfield, not 250 but a lot better than I70 and 78 ain't bad

I usually take I-70 to just east of I-77 and take RT 285 south to Rt 256 East to 800.
I take I-70 to get to the good roads quicker.
The rest of my ride is all backroads......
I usually hit 800 to 148 to 26 to 556 to 7 then back up 536 to 78 back to 7 then down to 260 to 565 then down 145 into Marietta. I then take 676 out of Marietta to 555 north into Crooksville then 669 out of Crooksville to Somerset I then catch 668 north for about 10 miles to just north of Brownsville. I make a right and I live 1 mile down the road from Flint Ridge State Park...
That loop is about 7 hours or so and one of my favorite.
