Gave the ESTN mini-site a facelift and changed the URL. Now to work on adding more content.

Brilliant Garry.

I'm going to use that motto and image on the shirt.

I was just going to resurrect the T-shirt thread to put out a call for ideas again.

ESTN TODO for March:
1) T-shirt design (not too worried about vendor yet)
2) Group Dinner menu and cost
3) Update ESTN web site

April/May: Start hitting up vendors/sponsors for prizes (helpers/assistants welcome!)

I really, really want to make this event.  Especially since I had to bail at the last minute from the National meet in 2006.  (It wasn't my fault ...really).

Will there be a thread for people looking to split the cost of a room?

When I reserved my room they told me that we've used up 17 of our block of 30. Better reserve quick!  Bigok

That's great news considering we're still under several inches of snow and people's thoughts are just starting to turn to the upcoming riding season above the Mason-Dixon line.

I'll volunteer! I just hope I'll be able to fit all the loot on the sv.  Lol

Actually, if I get anything big, I'll call the hotel and arrange to ship it there.

I can also help with making signs & such for the prizes so that we give props to whoever donates.

And you know, I could also make name tags to save Doug's secretary some work.  Lol

Reservation made for Fri and Sat night.  The poor women who took my reservation had a real bad case of laryngitis and I couldn't understand what she was saying.  When I asked her the rate for the ST.N group she said $395 a night!  I said WTF,,, do I have the right place.  But after she cleared her throat she got out that it was $63.xx a night.  Damn I nearly had a heart attack.  Anyway I'm reserved and anxious.  And looking forward to some road kill pie.  I hear if you run it over on the way in they will cook it up for you.   EEK!   Lol

I'm close to pulling the trigger on this.  This sets up nicely with my annual trip to the Appalachians and my three weeks vacation.  Put me down as a probable.

Bump.  Sorta, I know it's a sticky.

The first post in this thread has lodging and event info. Feel free to make a room reservation. Event registration will start once I nail down the dinner and T-shirt options/costs.

I live in Roanoke Virginia and that SE route is great that you have planned. I'll try and make this event, don't own a Sportbike but a GUZZI which does pretty good in the twisties. Just remember that the fines on the BRP have gone through the roof, If they catch you speeding on it. A Federal Judge in North Carolina did that.

Booked a room looking forward to some of these new routes, did the #15 from flat woods to 219, worth the trip to do it over again
We rode in through Seneca Rocks, nice scenery, but to straight, going to try going in the SE way this time
Looking forward to Sept Smile

I also had to bail on the national in 06(it wasn't my fault either), was all paid up with hotel reservations and everything. Seeing as im %100 going to the Indy GP, ESTN will be more of a game time decission depending on vacation and funds.

I have this pencilled in my calendar.

I love WV, and I can't imagine getting through this year without a ride down there.  The timing looks good.
