Did anyone go last year?  Good or bad things to say?  Traffic leaving the race?
The track looks pretty flat to me, but there aren't any other outdoor MX races as close.

It was good for a first effort.

The racing was great, the track was a bit flat for national standards, so are some other tracks up north, but it was good.
The parking was OK, traffic was heavy, but moved out well... once your on 45 it's i-45 flip a coin.

The food and facilities needed work, they tried to use local restaurants to feed everyone and I don't think they quite were ready for the volume... long long long lines for OK food.
The sound system was by a pro that must do concerts, giant speaker stacks pointed one way. I hope next year they spot them around the track instead of blasting from one end.
It was also on a limited FM station.

I'd go back for sure and hope June is not as melting hot.
Just For Reference:
I've been to the last TX National south of San Antonio in the 80's as well as Mid Ohio, Unidilla, Gatorback, Glen Helen, Road Atlanta, and a few others back to my first Trans-Am at New Philadelphia, Ohio in 68' I think... the Open Class was big 4-strokes... aaaahh full circle?

I can strap an ice chest on my bike with food and drinks.  I don't see anything on the track's site about that being a no no.
Down and back the same day from Hot Springs is the plan.

i had planned on going but couldn't budget it. i've been to a bunch of supercrosses but never a national. i plan to make it next year.

i raced wortham in '06 at a loretta's qualifier but it was before they built the national track.

The only rule I saw was no Glass containers...
there was also a big campground, without hook ups, everything from big pusher homes to tents.
campfires and cookin' going on...
I'm sure there's a charge, but it would be along ride home after standing at the trackside all day.

It will be a long day, but I'm used to that.  I haven't figured the time/distance on my GPS yet, but it has to be 300 miles or a little less.  5 hours with one fuel stop somewhere.

I'm starting to wonder a little bit about this trip.  One guy has won all four motos in the 450 class this year.  I like close racing.
I'll spend $50 on gas to get there and back.
Who's going to be there?

I must agree with you... even though I'm 2 hours away, Stewart is making this a route.

I'm looking at the Endurocross in Guthrey, OK 8-16, the videos I've seen show some real action!
As an ol' off-roader I can relate more then 150' triples. Lol

Talks with Mrs. Arkansawyer about the amount of time I've spent riding recently indicate the need for me to spend a weekend at home.
