$30K for maybe 120rwhp is a bit steep, but the chassis package seems sweet. This bike would have been the perfect replacement for the R1100s if it had a center stand, bigger gas tank, hard luggage, blahblahblahblah...
I keeed! I keeed!

A dual OHC twin with gobs of torque.
Keep your HP, I'll take torque for real world riding.
Sweet looking bike. I've always liked the R Sports, they've been my favorite BMWs (until I can get my hands on an F800GS).

The motor is a 'new' over head cam design. Does this mean the valve adjustments are now via shim instead of the old(and extremely convenient) screw adjust?

Its possible but it would make the valve adjustment intervals much longer and with the heads sticking out like that it'll still be easy to access the cams unline a v-twin (rear cylinder) or i-4. But I don't know the answer.

I like that Kawi green race suit the tester is wearing
Really nice bike but i would never pay that kind of money for one for riding,, and it is not exclusive enough to go in my livingroom
