Greetings from Houston--
I need some help from the group here please.

I purchased a 2005 V-Strom 1000 from Alamo BMW in San Antonio earlier this month. The bike was traded in on a BMW. The folks at Alamo tell me the person was from Odessa but the latest registration was from the Kinney County (Bracketville is the county seat). They could not give me the owner's name as he/she asked that it not be given out. Don't ask me why, but that is the way it is. The folks at DPS can't give it to me either because of privacy they claim.

I want to contact the owner to get some history about the bike. Like service that has been conducted, the type of oil (syn vs non-syn), there is a TSB that I want to find out if they had a dealer perform. Simply want to know about the bike I bought.

If you know the owner of a 2005 Blue V-Strom 1000 that was traded in at Alamo BMW in San Antonio I would greatly appreciate being able to get hold of him/her to ask about the bike. I love the bike, there are no problems at all.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Have you check with the people over at Two Wheeled Texans yet? You might have better luck.

I don't know why you couldn't do a title search and see who owned it that way. If not that TWT should know. there are gobs of them on there..

The Open Records Act should allow you to get a name at the least.
