I just got these boots for Christmas and was lucky enough to be able to ride on Christmas day to try them out the boots are extremely light and comfortable but secure on my foot with the help of the mid strap, also it has plenty of protection for the foot i think. composite toe and heel guards and ankle pads too ... felt good on the foot pegs of my bike and had plenty of clearance on the shifter although they are not the warmest boots a good pair of socks would do fine to help keep the feet warm all in all i think these boots are a good choice for casual riding
