Well I got a nice Christmas present.

I did my first IBA ride on September 8th, sent in my paperwork the next day, then tried to forget about it in expectation of a 12 month or longer turnaround.

But yesterday I got my certification package in the mail, less than 4 months from submittal.   Thumbsup

Is anyone else seeing improved turnaround in certs from IBA?

Guess that means it's time to fire off all the paperwork I've had sitting on my desk for the past 18 months.  Lol

I've only got a couple rides to run through, but was hoping to wait until they had made some headway through the backlog.

Congrats on your new cert!

Seems the new entries are being popped out PDQ.  The old ones however, are still lagging.  I know of a few that date back to early '06 that are still MIA.

I  have 5 of my state rides all ready to go too. I am going to send them in one at a time so it doesnt break the bank all at once.

I did a SS1000 back in September but was in no hurry to send it in due to the backlog.  I hear they have a new computer system and are getting caught up now.  I sent in my paperwork today figuring they could get through the backlog and if it does take a year I'll get a package NEXT christmas. Lol

Just got my certificate and plate backer in todays mail. The significance, (1) It's my first, (2) I did my Saddlesore 1000 ride Aug. 28 2006 - mailed the paperwork Sept. 1 2006. Let's just hope that the IBA never has another year like the last half of 2006!!

I did my second Saddle Sore 1000 in June and just got the stuff yesterday, Jan 5. I rode with a friend and his stuff has been a no show, but he was listed as completing the ride with the materials that I received, along with an apology letter about the slow process of verification. Be patient.

I have heard of a few folks getting that quick turn around. Meanwhile I submitted my stuff from a June SS1000/BB1500 and have not received anything. They cashed my check last Aug, so I know they got the paperwork.

i too did a ss1000 in june and have not received anything.  i emailed them a couple weeks ago and the lady responded by telling me that i was on the to do list and it shouldnt be long.  she informed me of the backlog from 06 to present.  they have my money, and im on the list, so hopefully a couple months or so and i should be official.
