Anyone going?

It's a big maybe for me as my wife is getting her knee rebuilt on the 9th so I bet I will be playing Nurse.

I'm still deciding.  I just go to see the new and "New to Canada" bikes, but this year I've already seen a bunch of them -- Hypermotard, 848, B-King, Street Triple, TNT and Hayabusa.  I would have liked to see the 2008 Aprilia RSV-R (+/- Factory) but Aprilia's not going to be at the show.  I also hope but doubt that KTM will bring us the RC8.  The bikes that I would be interested in seeing and that I think might actually be at the show are:

-BMW -- HP2 Megamoto and HP2 Sport (just because)
-Ducati -- 696 (just to see if it looks as cartoonish in person)
-Yamaha -- WR250R/X (these two bikes look like an absolute blast)

I don't know if I'm excited enough about those bikes to warrant actually going to the show, though. Shrug

Well, I'm off work that weekend, so it's a definite maybe.

Anyone notice whether the Widder booth was open?

Now that Widder is going out of business, I thought I'd better pick up some arm and leg chaps at the show if they're still available.  Unfortunately the crowds were so ridiculously large on Friday evening (ladies night and half price entry was the reason, I guess - usually that's the best time to go) that I didn't want to drag my SO through them.  I'll go Sunday morning if the Widder booth is open; otherwise it's not worth it to me to get up that early on Sunday.  (I've tried Sunday afternoon in the past and half the exhibitors were packing up by 1:00.)

It was open. But that isn't much use to you now, I guess.

Thanks anyway!

I almost got out of bed early enough to get to the show before displays start disappearing . . .  .  I didn't really need to go otherwise, as the replacement for my GS650G will be either an FJR1300AE (to take the load off my wrecked left thumb) or a WeeStrom (light enough clutch that it won't cause problems, plus I love the engine in my SV650S), but it would have been nice to see all the new bikes that I won't be buying.

I'm gonna try ordering the Widder stuff by phone.
