Ya know, the one in Abbotsford!

Gonna be from Jan 24 to 27 this year, I might make it down there...or I might not.  I'll know more later.  But, anyone else planning to make it?

I plan on making the trek down. I'm not expecting any great revelations but its worth the trip to soak up the atmosphere and bs with friends.

I'm still hoping to get to this year's show, but looks like I'll be in Kamloops until Saturday morning, anyway...gonna try to make the show Saturday afternoon or Sunday.  Still not sure enough if I'm gonna make it, to purchase a ticket online though (also, it's not as much of a saving as I seem to recall...one measly buck, I can afford that.)

Anyone else gonna be there?

Local dealer wants me to go and pick up a KTM 990 Super Duke for him. I haven't quite made up my mind yet but may go just for the trip. Maybe I'll take a helmet and give the Duke a spin.

If KS&W is willing to pay me for some of my fuel, I'd be able to pick up the Superduke for 'em.  I travel with an old camper on my truck, so the bike is out of the weather--only problem is that the bike has to fit through the door, but I've carried my Firebolt in there and didn't even have to remove the rearviews.

On second thought, I'd probably pick up the Superduke in exchange for the opportunity to take it out for a day, once the weather turns nice...  Either or.

Just respond in this thread, or pm me...

I was there this weekend but didn't see any other STN guys/girls there.
There was some cool stuff to see. BMW certianly has a complete line of bikes and that HP2 looks like a ton 'o' fun. Hooligan bikes are definitely in for this year with the HP2, Ducati's HyperMotard, KTMs Super Duke and Triumphs Street Triple. KTM really pulled out the stops this year as well, big booth and all their bikes were there. Triumph was a no show. Vancouver's British Italian Motorcycles was there and had Thruxton a Rocket 3 and a Street Triple all crammed in a teeny tiny both. Good for them for being there. These were the only Triumphs. I think I need one of those Street Triples!
Honda was showing off their Varadero. A big bike and it felt heavy.
Harley had some really nice bikes there as well....................... :lol:ok I was kidding about that part.
Polaris also had their big freakin lump of an SUV there, the "Vision". I don't know why they call it a Vision because you could be legally blind and still see the thing from two miles away. That thing has to weight as much as my GMC PU and its nearly as wide across the grill.

The show was very crowded, lots of enthusiats out to drink in the two wheeled excitment. Bigok

Due to a combination of events, I didn't make it Crazy  Was in Kamloops, and all set to drive down, but...well, stuff happened...

Hopefully, I'll see some of the new BMW's at Southwest, and there are a few shops carrying Guzzi in BC these days too.  I was also interested in the Street Triple, I don't know why Triumph doesn't participate in these shows anymore--but there'll probably be at least one at the RAT Raid in Nelson this summer (I assume there will be one, it seems an annual event).  I'd have liked to see the 1125R too, but...well, I gotta go down to the coast a couple of times between now and summer (I really doubt either of the interior Buell dealers will bother getting one it, but Barnes or Deeley might).

took a look at the BMW 650, which is actually a detuned 800, or some such thing.  Seemed nice, just under 10k.  Really low for a dual sport.  Talked to the guy and they consider it in the dl650, versys class, not the KTM, DR, KLR.  Interesting change in marketing, or being the oblivious person I am maybe no change at all.   Lol  It was REALLY low.
