A friend of mine has bought Savage Cycle in Sidney from Colin. I hear that he is going to try to turn it around meaning get it away from the bad rap it has developed over the last few years. More power to ya Alex.

I didn't know the PO (heard he was pretty cool) but I did stop there to get an oil change on the maiden voyage with my Sprint ST, word of advice if you know the new owner have him send his Tech guy to finishing school, sheeshhhhh he seemed to be a miserable sod, then again maybe I am not used to MC shops I do most of my own wrenching
Not that it would stop me from going back to browse though, I liked the shop over all. Wish the new owner lots of luck the more succesful triumph dealers around, the better.

I first met Colin years ago when he had the Brit bike shop. He has always been a cheerful if eccentric fellow who loves motorcycles.
I bought my Sprint from him several years back. He just handed me the key and said to ride it for the day knowing I would be hooked. I was. I brought it back at closing time and wrote a cheque. Not many places would operate on that much faith.

Mike ( the  tech ) is a sour puss for sure. I frankly have never seen him smile or say anything funny. His people skills are non existent. I would be surprised if anyone kept him on.

I agree with Bubba on that, walked in and told Colin I was intrested in the green 1200 and hers the keys have a nice ride. Ended up with a BMW though and when I stopped by for some other gear he looks and says nice bike, not just into the sales but came across as some one with a bit of passion for bikes.
So whats the new guy like and what are his long range plans for the business.

Yep. Colin was a great guy. Always friendly chat. Walked in on Alex yesterday and he was all handshakes and how ya doin. Lol. Almost too eager to please. And Mike even came upstairs with smiles and chat. Everything was all sugar coated. Startin to miss the old grumpyness.
But seriously, I'm sure Alex is strongly aware of the rep and is diving head first into it to change things.
