I've mixed feelings on this as he's an absolute wanker.
I think he should donate it to a worthy cause, I've an empty spot in the garage.

I'm sure if you were on that list someone would think you were a wanker too.  I just hope he rides the thing at least once in awhile.

I wouldn't mind being a rich wanker. Lol

a triumph of marketing, and the bank.

to get that new credit facility, companies in big trouble need to do something that will generate interest in the brand and sell big.
they needed approval from the bank to do this.

sure, it will work well. at the track, and only there. or as an ornament.

However, this won't sell more than the wealthy individuals who are pre-disposed to a Ducati.

At $72,000 each, that is a master of the obvious statement!

I don't think Ducati needed "approval" from a bank, when each model was pre-sold before it was built, and they already had the manufacturing capacity in place.

So, I guess solvent companies don't need to build fabulously exciting bikes that capture the imagination, and command huge sales prices for exotic technologies. Helps explain the current Honda line-up. Smile

They sold every single one that they made, before they even made the first delivery.  Rolleyes

Someone may have already corrected this but the first one went to a guy named Dennis Wong out of Pro Italia. There is even a video of them unveiling the bike in the showroom and giving him the keys:
