Bummer. Or did I miss something? I was actually excited to see one in the flesh. I pass a KTM dealership on my way to work every day.  I was even searching for pricing info. KTM is a bunch of teases because you can search the US site for the RC8, even visit the RC8 website but when you click the "Reserve Your RC8" United States isn't listed as an option.  Thumbsdown

I hadn't heard that.  Looking at the UK vs US KTM sites, I think you are right.

B&B has a leftover 950 Supermoto, or at least they had one a few weeks ago, btw, fyi.   :pokestick:

Hearsay on the internet says summer '08 release as an '09 model.  But that's 3rd hand.

The reallity with KTM is...you never know what the hell they'll ship to the US until you see it on the dealer floor. The website or what a dealer tells you is no indication of what will or won't be imported in a given year.

I'm starting to think that KTM just loads shipping containers intended for the US with whatever bikes are sitting closest to it, then they give dealers whatever ends up here.

The 640 I bought wasn't even ordered by the dealership that had it, they told me it just showed up with one of their shipments...I've had others tell me the same thing with bikes on the floor.

That's what Rider reported in their latest issue.
