The Buffalo Bills are coming to Toronto.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced Friday the league has reached an agreement with the Bills that paves the way for the team to play eight games — five regular-season contests and three exhibition games — in Toronto over the next five years.

Wow ... I think the NFL is fixing a bead on Toronto  Headscratch

Toronto always fancies itself as South Miami of the North.  Rolleyes
I can only imagine the $Millions$ it will cost you and I to build them a SuperStadium.
Can we still spell "Sky Dome"?

If Toronto entered the NFL you can kiss the CFL goodbye. Without the GTA market there would be no CFL. I know that there are loyal fan bases all over, but without Toronto and its TV market .... pffft. Gone.

My bet? It ain't gonna happen. It will simply become a one game per year special event.

Probably Buffalo needs a new stadium and this is just a tactic to put the fear into the voters and politicians.

I beg to differ. Pro sports is corporate sales driven, not fan based. Buffalo is a small market team and therefore in peril. Toronto is a corporate HQ based city constantly looking for new ways to spend its sports and entertainment $. Sad

If they make it more than an once a year special event, then we'll make the Sabres play all their hockey games outdoors. EEK!

Actually, I saw an article about the owner of the Bill's wanting to relocate the team to Toronto. I understand the market there does not really support a team. They would have folded without the Toronto fans that attend the games.

Supposedly there is a group of investors ready.

I really do think this is just a precurser of things to come. Toronto could support an NFL team, Hands down. A new stadium would fit in nicely with what they are doing with the Air Canada centre condo theme.

What?....like sky dome isn't big enough....crap, us taxpayers are still paying for that, & it was sold out from under us for pennies on the dollar....if football, or any other sport wants a newer, bigger building built, leave the taxpayers alone & let the big corporations pay for it Twofinger.....
