Pulled this link off a thread in the General forum--anyone know any more, maybe a more thorough source?

Though I haven't been able to independantly verify the source, I've been told the bike had no passenger pegs either. Crazy
The "driver" apparently tried to get a friend who witnessed the event, to lie as to the cause.
THAT was the primary factor in the judge issuing more than a non-custodial sentence, which is about the norm in similar incidents... Sad

wow, so many things wrong with that...

Also why I don't like riding on the back, or even letting anyone else on my bike.

It wasn't the first time he was caught doing the same stupidity. This time he killed someone, carrying them on a bike that he had removed one of the passenger footpegs (and didn't care if she knew how to put on a helmet).

IMO when you carry a pillion, you carry extra responsibility.

I think he got off light.

Thanks, doodah.

I'm with elgordo--string him up!  It's idiots like this that make all the rest of us look bad.

Yup, lock him up.

If you have a passenger you ride like a nun. OK to kill ones self, not cool to be taking others out.

You've just made having sex with my passenger after a ride feel very creepy. Thanks a lot.
