I have two people who are interested in my bike but I have no clue what it is worth.  I'm wondering if the fine people of ST.net could help me figure out what a fair price for my ride would be:
  • 2004 VFR w/ABS
  • 9000 miles
  • Factory luggage
  • Sargent seat
  • Genmar risers

Thanks in advance

go to kelly blue book. it only gives you the value of the bike. you'll have to figure out the value of the farkels.

KBB does list accessory figures after you get your suggest price, read down into the explanation and click the link to "Additional Equipment".  However, as you will find out, farkles don't do much for resale values...

Check NADA as well, their values are usually lower than KBB, helps to figure a middle average.

Thanks for the links.  I had already checked out KBB but the price seemed high in my opinion.  I wasn't aware of the NADA site which personally I thought was more realistic.  The thing that really floored me was the value of the farkles.  Talk about being screwed  EEK!

Yup, which is why most folks return the bike as close to stock as they can before selling, and then sell the model specific farkles aftermarket.  You'll stand a better chance of getting more of your value out of them that way.

Gotta agree. Sell the seat and panniers seperate and sell the bike stock.

Can probably get 2 bills for the seat and 6 for the panniers then sell the bike for $5500-5900
