I took the inserts out of the Leos this afternoon. I'm sure you'll hear the deep, booming bass note before you see the bike :-)

The bike is packed, the Zumo has been properly wired to the battery terminals (now with solderless connectors), the routes are programmed, reservation has been made, and James and I roll out Sat. morning at 9AM.

I plan on getting to the Days Inn around 3:30 PM, unpack, refuel, and do a nice little loop north of Clearfield.  No later than 6:30 PM, James and I should be back at the Days Inn and ready for some grub.

Kendenton, are we ordering pizza again and kicking tires of the bikes in the parking lot?  Anyone is welcome to order pizza w/ us and shoot the breeze.

We'll see you there.   Bigok

I should be there about the same time Doug. I'll host the beer and pizza party again. Beerchug
If we run into each other like last year I'll join you and James for the north loop. Thumbsup

Very good Sam my man.  I'm glad you can make it!  If we miss one another on the road Saturday, we can hook up Sunday morning for a nice loop.

Hey all.  I made it home safely.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out with my tire last night.  The plugs held until about 12 miles from home.  They let go in spectacular fashion. Unfortunately, it was just before a left-hand 45 MPH sweeper.  With little drama, I was able to get the bike off the road and some friends ran up to where I was at with their truck to get me.

I'll post up some pictures later.

Thanks again!

Glad to hear the plugs held up. Now toss those mushrooms and go get some strings.  The mushrooms only seem to work on small nails that put a perfect hole on the carcass.  When you're collecting firewood  with the tire  Rolleyes they're useless.

Just got in. No rain at all on the way home. Wet roads turned to damp roads turned to mostly dry roads. Even a hint of that bright thing in the sky. Did get to spend a couple hours riding in steady rain and fog this morning though. Ride report and pics to follow.

I think I counted 39 or 40 bikes at the Days Inn this morning. BRAVO! Great STN overnighter turnout.

The heavy rain around Pittsburgh this morning kept most of the day trippers at home and I think half the overnight crew skipped lunch and went directly home. We still managed to mostly fill up the back room at Dennys and I think a good time was had by all. Denny kicked in a bag of swag (T-shirts, gift cards, pint glasses) that we gave away.

We sure were glad that we got to Dennys early Saturday. As we left the lineup was expected to be 1 1/2 hours. Good to meet you guys at the Days Inn. Glad you got home for less than $500 Doug !
We also bugged out after breakfast and had a bit of mist but nothing serious. Home safely.

I hit the road around 9:30am hoping to get ahead of the weather for the ride home.  That didn't work out so well.  Pretty much rained solid all the way to Harrisburg then it was on and off through Lancaster area.

Had a good time, great to see a lot of you again.  Pictures up soon.

Doug - glad you got home OK.
Garry - thanks again!

Had a nice nice time, sorry I missed Denny's.

Well yet again, I had a great time even though some guys went missing late at night) For me it is great to just get away on the bike and meet new people. I Had a great time. Everyone is just  so friendly, it just kills me!! Around here  in NJ the people I interact with on a day to day basis  seem, well just way too uptight. I wish I stayed for the Dennys Burger feast, but as Fav said we waited Sat night for over a Hour to get a table. Plus the bike being a little broken(Thanx Tom, Fav for the British Duck tape).

Key notes for me;
The Garmin Zumo is great (Traffice 80 east by Bloomsburg, I found a GREAT way home better than Slab. Boy someone was looking out for me even though I was following a Gixxer with a body of the different sex well dress in front of me:) Oh and going threw Bloomsberg was not a meat market like Sat(NJ CREW)Smile

Days Inn:
Great turn out!!! I think the weather turned riders away from the bar late at night or I must  like to drink too much:) I have been doing this run for 3 years and I have seened new people all the time.

I Little note;
Since this has been such a great turn out over the years ,Maybe it should be formal with the like of STNMEETS with a  T-Shirts, Etc?? Just an Idea..

Well, I think I got my quota of rain riding in for this spring.  Lol  Spent most of Friday tearing the carbs off my FZ1 to diagnose a bogging/surge problem.  After adjusting the float bowl levels and mixture screw turnouts I was good to go.  Saturday morning me, Redfox and our friend Rue bugged out on a Fizzy, a Tiger & an SV650 respectively.  The ride up from Annapolis was great; we slabbed only as far as the Ellicott City area, then took nice country back roads past Frederick, to Hagerstown and beyond.  Stopped in McConnellsburg at Johnnie's Diner for a light lunch, then continued on back roads and arrived at Clearfield around 5:30 or so.  Checked into the Holiday Inn Express across from the Dazed 'n, then rode across the street to do a meet 'n greet.  After jawing for a bit we rode to Dennys for dinner and had the predictable dining experience (location!location!location!); ah well, the wings are still good there.

Sunday morning we got a late start doing the scenic loop.  The rain was steady when we left the parking lot and dogged us pretty much the entire way on 879, 144, 120, Wycoff Run & return.   We returned to Denny’s well after the majority had eaten and left (missed the rush – damn!),   had a burger, then hit the roads for home.  We did a pretty straight shot all the back to Annapolis with the rain accompanying us all the way as far as Frederick.  I think we could all use some new rain gear....

I think I passed you guys.   You were coming up 144, and I was heading south.  At least I know I saw a grey Tiger in that pack, thought it was led by a FZ1 as well.  That was right when I started to get in the rain.  Too bad to have missed you guys.
