Speed Triple Pillion Pics?

Is it even worth asking for pillion rider pics of the current S3? Couldn't find anything online. It looks like the passenger pegs are an afterthought that aren't functional for anyone over 5'-1"

I went out and pulled a tape on mine, and the rear footpegs are only 13" below the top of the seat, which is basically 9"x9". My wife is just at 5'0" and I doubt I'm talking her into riding back there for more than a few miles. While they may not function well for footpegs, they would presumably protect the exhaust cans from getting bent up in a low speed drop.
So, you've started 2 speed triple threads in the past couple of days... Just go buy one!
Or at the very least, take one for a test spin.

My '04 was fine for pillions. My ex-girlfriend is 5'10" and she enjoyed riding pillion on mine. The '05 and newer model is something else.....

My son has dropped his Daytona 650 twice on the right side. Result, two broken passenger footpeg brackets. And two bent exhaust systems.

Ooof. That stinks! I would imagine the exhaust systems for 650 don't come cheap either.
That said, the design between the Daytona and Triple are quite different where the foot peg mounts wrap around the pipes on a Triple while the exhaust system appears to be the first thing to touch on a 650.
I've seen a couple of dropped specimens over on rat.net that seemed to survive at least ok at low speeds, and with aftermarket frame sliders look surprisingly good even coming away from a track day low side.

Here's a current gen pillion pic that's worth a look:

Looks cozy. Proves there's really only room for one.
I forgot all about the T Bird. That's another triple I could live with.

Have you considered the new Tiger? It's pretty much a Speed Triple on stilts with a half fairing.

Here's a pre-cafe'd beauty
for sale in Atlanta. Tons of worthy mods.
I'll second the new Tiger - it's got some very good reviews in this month's British press.
WOW
That is a SWEET T-bird!
I also think the Tiger would be worth considering if you're looking at a Triple. The older model was also on my short list, but if the new model was on the showroom floor when I bought my S3, I likely would have brought it home. While I love my naked bike, a little weather protection in the winter would be nice, and having the option of hard bags would be good too.

Agreed, the design is different, I'm sure the S3 design would help. Worst part about my son's little problem with crashing is the first time, broken footpeg, crumple dented midpipe, cracked weld. Had to buy a new footpeg, but a friend of my brother's is a master welder and made an artful repair of the cracked mid-header pipe weld. The owner of the Triumph shop was in awe of the repair weld, "Who DID this?!?!". OMG, two weeks later, my son's bike is down on the right side again and this time the pipe is totalled.
The only good part is that the other guy's insurance is going to have to pay.

Yes, he is. Most recent incident of hopping off his bike (he actually got knocked off his bike by an oblivious, no signal using lane changer) he landed first on his right knee at about 20mph. Thanks to JR Ballistic pants with T-Pro knee armor, he came through will some swelling. Thanks for the concern and good wishes, believe me, we're working on this.

I like the new Tiger but I'm not going to spend that much this time. I'm not finding my enjoyment to be proportional to how much I spend. I honestly had more fun on my $6K ZRX than the $12K ST3. I'm going to dial it back this time and try to keep it to the low side of the $5500 to $8000 range this time.
