So - Who is applying?
I'm seriously thinking about - but I would have a very long negotiation with RNA should I get in to make it happen.

I threw my entry into the box, again. This time as a 2-up couple hoping it increases my chances. Passed over in '07 as a single.

Fingers crossed that you get drawn, or that you're not drawn for another 2 years?

I agree - git it a go.
I met some guy from Germany running the '05.
If you get in would you ship your ride and compete? New movie idea: World longest Indian?

No.
Consider it your first Bonus location worth all the points. It's on there, I had to look a while as well, then it was obvious.

Basically you want me to get out ahead - find all the Boni then wait for you to catch up and give you gas? Sounds easy enough.

I think I'll be happy either way - it is a dream and a ride of a lifetime and I really am hooked on rallying, but OMG, what will I have gotten myself into?!?! Not to mention the cost. I have spousal pre-approval - since its a long shot

You don't know the half of it. If you get "the call" you'll really be wondering what next.

I'm right there with you. For '07, I had already decided that if drawn, I needed to buy a new bike. When I didn't get drawn, I ended up buying a new bike anyway. LOL
If drawn for the '09 ride, all I have to worry about is stocking up on final drives and distributing them across the US.

Good luck everyone!!!
Any of you "Premier members"?
Sounds like a good way to spend $40 bucks - and increase your chances 2X. Oh well.
Application sent - did you get an Application recieved email" when you sent it in? I have not yet.

I received one. But it took a while. I am pretty sure the rally mistress does them it batches. If you don't get the application acknowledgement approximately 2-3 weeks after sending it in, you then might want to make an inquiry.
Sure would be interesting to know how many apply.
Good luck.

My application was confirmed as put into the proper drawing box.
+1 on Premier member. I joined to support the org., but I'll take the improved odds and slightly reduced entry fee
