Last night I started a thread to post pictures of the Province of New Brunswick.  Tonight, I’m stating one with pictures of the Province of Nova Scotia.

I know that many of you are thinking of making it to Nova Scotia and the Cabot Trail some day.  Maybe these will wet your appetite.

I don’t have a lot of digital pictures but this is a start.  Feel free to add you own if you’ve been there before.

The first set of pictures I have are of “Cape D’Or” on the Glooscap Trail.  That area is full of twisties and it is a playground for a lot of motorcyclists from the Moncton area.

You do have to ride up a fairly steep dirt road for maybe 10 minutes to get there but hey, if I can do it on a big ST1300, anybody can do it.

The next set of pictures is from the Cabot Trail and they go counter clockwise.  Susan is the person in the first picture.

The next one were taken on the way to Meat Cove on the Northern tip of Cape Breton.  You do have to get on a dirt road to get there but it's not that long.  (10 to 15 miles)

It's a long way down to that Cap D'Or lighthouse.

That area, the "Mini Cabot Trail" has some awesome riding.

Anybody in Nova Scotia on the weekend of Aug 9-10 this year can take in the Shubenacadie stop of the Cdn Superbike series.  Here's some pictures of the 05 event.

You're making me want to wish away 2008 for my planned trip up there in 2009.  Leon, we should try to hook up.  I wouldn't mind a guide.   Bigsmile

Thanks for the pictures.  I'll be drooling over them all year.

That looks like Steve Crevier on the Podium. That guy has had a long career. I remember watching him at Westwood so many years ago. Great pics  Thumbsup

Good photos Leon!

I've been to every location in your photos...Cabot Trail (many times); Meat Cove (many times); Atlantic Motor Speedway (every year)...But - I have never captured the beauty of these sights quite like you have.  Good Job!

Nice, with all the snow we been getting, this along with the "other picture" threads give us hope and we can start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  Thumbsup
Leon I have to mention that if our Canadian Government decides to get rid of the department you work for, you would have no problem succeeding in the book writing business.  Bigok

Nice pics, Thumbsup

I've been talking to my buds about riding to NS and the CT, instead of doing our annual 10days at the PSSBR in early July.
We'll see how it goes.

Here's picture of the lighthouse at Peggys Cove, then a picture at Hackett's Cove. Route 333 is in pretty fair shape these days.
