I'm in, too.  Anyone in CT wanna meet up more central (Waterbury, Middletown, etc.) at approx. 8AM?  Even earlier for Breakfast.  If I go to Windsor it will be a bunch of highway or 'burbs.  The western half of CT is just great riding.

P.S.  That Kawi KLR is sweet.  I sooo want one as a second bike, commuter.  Damn college age kids!

Hey Mark, what ever happened to paying your own way through college, like we did?   Lol

If I could hijack my own thread, I have to say there are some great deals on the KLR right now.  I bought my 08 for $500 under MSRP, at $4895 OTD (this does not include state sales tax, title and plate fees - that was $310 extra).  Kind of unbelievable when the conventional wisdom is that you can't haggle too much on new bikes, particularly new ones below $5,000.  Three of my ST.N friends have also bought 08's and I don't think anyone paid over $5,000 (that's mostly true of owners on KLR650.net too).  I think the economy is playing into consumer's favor.  Dealers are matching and beating each other's offers; they want your business.

It's also driven down the cost of used pre-08 KLR's, the "legacy" model.  There's one for sale on KLR650.net:  2005, 5,900 miles with a bunch of mods, in Connecticut, for only $3,500.  And he's had it for sale for a month with no takers.

But for $1,500 more you get a new bike, with a warranty.

Yeah, but that 2 year tech college degree was worth what I paid for it in the long run.

I had a KLR600.  If you have a need for the old KLR650 now is the time.  But, if you want a great do it all the new one is great!

Congrads on the new bike Keith. Thumbsup

She sure looks sweet. Inlove

I hope to make it this year.  3 years in a row missing it, I think I am cursed as far as this run is concerned.

30 days,,, that's how long it would take you to catch me, if I was running barefoot across the desert, on that pathetic device you call a Blackbird.  But fear not I'll only use first gear.

....thinks about the word "pathetic" - then pictures one guy riding a Blackbird while the other runs barefoot across the desert.....

So...... you'd be running barefoot across the desert [fast] because (???) the GS wasn't up for it?   :pokestick:

Just pop either of these addresses into your GPS:

1001 Dayhill Road
Windsor, CT (Conn. meeting spot in morning)

or

Price Chopper
300 Stockbridge St.
Great Barrington, MA (after lunch meeting spot)

that will get you to the party.
