Someone called my name Lol
Yes you can tour on one, but you have to be comfortable in that riding position. A after market seat will help a LOT Wink If the bike was well taking care, and the fluids changed on a regular cycle the engine, will last forever. I have over 136.000 miles on my old one, and it is still running very strong. I've been cross country on my Fzr 1000 two time's, that bike has taken me all over the US, and Canada. Mined you it's not for every one! But if you set the bike up right you should be fine.

I had a '93 FZR 100 and loved it.  The only real downfall is the puny little headlight.   I swapped the '93 out for the '94 that upgraded the front rotors and went to the dual headlight set-up.   I tossed ona set of Heli-bars on each and put a combined 50,000 km (30,00 miles) on the two bikes.  They worked flawlessly.  The windscreen is large enough to deflect wind and rain while remaining 'sporty' in appearance.

It handled luggage and a tank bag with no problems.  The only problem I had was it vapourizing rear tires.  I had to switch to a Macadam to keep any sort of rubber on the back.   My black '94 was nicknamed 'the cruise missile' by my riding buds for it's penchant for going really frigging fast for long periods of time Bigsmile

So budget in a set of external PIAA's and have at it... you'll only regret it when the cops are pulling you over .. so budget in a radar detector as well.
