And then there was the legendary "Ring of Gaxx"...

Geez, I was in 4th grade, maybe third, when D&D hit the shelves.  Talk about a legacy!

RIP Gary.

Geez indeed.  When I was that age we'd just go down to the creek and tossed dirt clods at each another 'til someone got their head laid open and ran home bawling.  Closest thing to a "Geek" back then was an AV Nerd.

Squad leader for the PC would really rock but haven't found anything like it.

Squad Leader is another fave. I love it when the Rooskies attain bezerk status. Ogre was cool, too. I played these games like all get out, then I discovered girls.

The only game system I have (sold everything else) is the complate Squad Leader and Advanced Squad Leader sets.  I haven't played it for years, but that bad boy was worthing keeping.  Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup Thumbsup

I love Starship Troopers and Ogre. I also used to play Car Wars. Gamma World was another favorite. I tried Squad Leader but damn that got complex. Man, memories, memories.

Gamma World!  I'd forgotten about that one.  I also liked Metamorphosis Alpha, which preceded it by a bit...

Wow, no kidding. I played Car Wars, D&D, AD&D, Champions, V&V, and the early White Wolf games but my favorite had to be Cyberpunk.

Good bye Gary. I blame you for many wasted days.

Still got all the books, hundreds of figures plus a mass of other stuff.
